Produced water is water that comes out of the well with the crude oil as a result of the oil production process. It contains soluble and non-soluble oil/organics, suspended and dissolved solids, and various chemicals used in the production process. Our panelists will provide an overview of the composition of produced water, where it can be encountered, and the types of claims that may arise. Coverage issues and the impact on the legacy sector will also be discussed.
