Insurers and reinsurers have been using insurance-linked securities to access the capital markets for over 20 years.  How can runoff insurers and reinsurers use ILS to manage risks, obtain capital and support growth?  We will summarize a number of popular ILS structures and discuss how they might be used in runoff-specific contexts.   
 
This session provides an overview of their structures and uses including the ways an insurer or reinsurer can enter the ILS market to obtain additional capital or manage risks.  Our presenters include a discussion of innovative ways that ILS can be used to specifically address the risk profile of runoff and legacy business.
